Durham City Centre
Don’t just visit the festival markets … make the most of the city of Durham.
Durham is built mostly inside a loop in the River Wear – it is a small, perfectly formed, city with so much to see and enjoy. The Christmas Festival will take you to the World Heritage Site of Durham Cathedral, Castle and Palace Green and bring you into the city’s Market Place too.
We’d like to recommend that you discover as much as you can of everything Durham has to offer. The city is full of independent shops, places to eat and drink, and entertainment venues too.
So when you come to Durham Christmas Festival, remember there’s a whole city to discover and enjoy!
