Due to the weight limit for traffic on Prebends Bridge, we are not able to run the Accessible Minibus service which has been run in previous years from the city centre to Palace Green/ Durham Cathedral.  This year, we will have a number of taxis operating on a loop.  The taxi departure point in the city centre is yet to be confirmed, please return for more information nearer the festival.  PLEASE NOTE: the taxis will be able to take folding wheelchairs only, that is ones that can fold and fit in the boot of the car.

Shopmobility (located in the Prince Bishops Shopping Centre Car Park) provides mobility scooters and will be open on both Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd December (closed Sunday 3rd December).  It is advised to check availability and book in advance.  For further information, call 0191 386 8556 or please click here.

Durham Pointers Service

Durham's award-winning volunteer 'Pointers' (you can't miss them in their bright pink tabards) will be present in the Market Place each day of the Festival, on hand as virtual signposts to help with directions and answer any queries you may have.
